Hey RFD,

I have a problem which may be a little too complicated to describe in Google so I thought I'd give this forum a try.

Is there a program/method of syncing a folder(s) between two computers (a desktop which is always connected to the home wireless network, and my laptop which is only connected when I am home) automatically over a wireless network and having the folder backed up onto an external hard drive.

I know this sounds a lot like the Apple Time Capsule or something a NAS could solve but I neither have the money for the former or experience/equipment for the latter.

Would any of you know a solution for this?

Thanks!

Well, I think any decent sync software could do this...

Try allwaysync (or do a search for some alternatives...I just use allwaysync though)? Set it up on autosync.
Just create 3 sync jobs.
1. Computer <-> Laptop
2. Computer -> External Drive
3. Laptop -> External Drive

Windows Easy Transfer? I am not sure if this is what you are looking for but it works pretty good to transfer files from my laptop to my desktop's external HDD.
