Been notified that I currently have a deviated septum, so a Septoplasty might be in the works.
I was currently thinking of a Rhinoplasty as well. After going through a plethora of specialists, I have run into Dr. Michael Kreidstein.
I have searched previous threads, but they are too generalized.
My question would be, who has done it, their experience and recommendations as to an ideal plastic surgeon that's not too steep?
I have read into the risks/costs, but would like a subjective side to this as well.
Cheers.

You need to be blind not to know you have a deviated septum as it is imho . Doesn't everybody check themselves out time and again? :D?
Septoplasty patient right here. Most useless procedure I've ever come across. Didn't help one bit. Thankfully, I didn't experience any of the negative side-effects, such as increased disposition to atmospheric allergies-which occurs because of the trauma experienced to the inner nasal cavity lining.
I was so put off by it that I didn't even bother telling the specialist that what they did, didn't help me one bit.
Septoplasty - Straightens the septum
Rhinoplasty - Nose job. Seinfeld anybody?

I had it done, and I bled out my nose for a month.
I can breathe normally now though.

i had a surgery to straighten my deviated septum which was blocking one of my nasal passages somewhat, not sure what it was called because there were some names thrown around.
It was done by a ENT doctor. worst 4 days/nights of my life after the surgery but it did help with my breathing, no side effects i can think of. Depends on the severity and the type of surgery, i had a friend who got it done and he was allowed to lie down to sleep. I wasn't and had to be at a 75 degree angle for the first 3 nights.

most of the after pics look worse. its just like the fake breasts. they look so fake. only people with really gross noses should do it because natural noses seem to fit the face better.

i had it done for deviated septum, nasal polyps and to widen my sinus passages...as someone above stated..it was the worst 2 weeks of my life after the surgery for sure...but i think it helped a bit.
the surgeon couldnt get all of the polyps because there was too much bleeding, but apparently he got a decent amount. Most of my nasal problems have been due to allergies. Since getting the surgery 2 years ago, i haven't even felt allergies (maybe due to mild summers?).
Prior to surgery i could only breathe from one nostril, that didn't change much but improved a bit

curious if all those who've had problems have tried neti-pots before the surgeries?
