The drain in my shower is stinking... not sure if it's from years of gunk (the house is older) or what, but any advice on what to do? pour CLR down there? Or draino?
any tips would be appreciated!!

Take the drain cover off, use a pair of pliers and pull out the large clumps of hair that have built up over time.

Flush the drain with lots of water.

If that doesn't help (solved my issue), put some liquid plummer down.

It's rotting hair - you should to remove the hair in the drain.

If that is not possible, pour some bleach down the drain, let the bleach sit overnight and it should kill the bateria causing the smell.

Chemical drain cleaners can damage your pipes if you're not careful. For an easy alternative, after you pull out all that hair and gunk try dumping 1/2 cup baking soda down the drain followed by 1/2 cup vinegar. Let the mixture do its work for about 5 minutes, it'll break down the grease and crap in your drain. Then pour in a kettle of hot water to flush everything down, I use this method on a regular basis. You could also use those snakes to scrape down your drain but I prefer the lazy way. :D Hope this helps.
