i tried to buy some shares of an ETF on questrade, and at the end of the day the status said "ECN Rejected"
why was my request rejected? did i request to buy too few units? where would i find info about the minimum number of units i can buy, if this is the case? for what other reasons would my request be rejected?
how do i get my request to go through? thanks.

Did you try talking to Questrade?

I had that problem doing an automatic sell order in afterhours at a set price. I couldn't find a way around it at all.

Probably the stock market was already closed.

ya i put the order in yesterday after hour but expected that a "day" duration would keep it open for the next trading day. i'll try again, but i'll put it on GTC, that should fix it, shouldn't it?
or i'll try to buy during the trading day tomorrow, just hope it doesn't slip my mind

You put it in as 'GTC' for after-hour trading and either 'day' or 'GTC' during the hours.

You put it in as 'GTEM' for after-hour trading and either 'day' or 'GTC' during the hours.
Fixed.

I was getting the same error, they asked me to uncheck AON (all or none) option and that did work. But it only sold my stock partially and that I did not want.

I think TSX now no longer accepts AON orders.

Can anyone confirm this?
Yeah, Dec 12, 2008 was the last day the TSX accepted AON orders. My brokers sent me notifications that the change was comming well in advance.

Yes, Questrade sent out notification to their clients on this as well.
