Im getting first HDTV package, from Bell (better quality as you guys suggested).
the key is as cheap as possible.
i choose HD basic
HD Basic
From $13/mo.
Includes:
Digital Standard package $33/mo.
Offer credit for 24 months1 -$10/mo.

One time online credit -$25

and im planning to purchase the HD receiver for 99$ (24 months, im living in this place for another 3 yrs at least)

i assume i can get decent PQ and SQ for the HD channels (covers major sport events and daily news).
is there anything I should aware of?
is there any hidden charges?
so ill end up paying $30~40 every month (ignoring the first payment for HD receiver) right?

I can speak for the pq and sq. The hd chanels during storms and cloudy days were more reliable the the standard channels. And I might be wrong on the next point but when you buy the hd box it should come with hd basic for free.

I only lose signal when its complete dark cloud cover or very intense rain. But that's why I plugged in a hard disk to the back of the receiver for free PVR. So when TV goes down I can watch my pre-recorded shows/movies. I don't even feel like my tv has ever gone down. Which it only has 3 times in 6 months.

I'm pretty sure the HD channels were down once in 2 years. But on the standard my parents complained a lot about it going out.
I miss bell compared to rogers. Are you getting the hdpvr?
