it takes a while for the e-mails to come. If I remember correctly, the one for (500) days of summer took a couple of days. But if it goes through, you will get one eventually.

has anyone been to these screenings before? how do they verify that you have a legit RSVP? In other words, what's stopping someone from printing out 10 copies for their friends?

edit: i won't be doing this as i feel it would be unfair for others, but it would suck if someone did do it which in turn meant that we couldn't get seats. i wanted to gauge the likelihood of this happening (and the person succeeding) to determine whether or not it's worth going

The RSVP I received has a code XXX-XXX and the last 3 digit increases from 001 to say 175 (if 175 RSVPs were issued).

In Vancouver, the box office staff, which was provided with a list of names with corresponding RSVP code from XXX-001 to XXX-175, checks off the names against this list to prevent the use of photocopies.

Yes, half of the time, they *WILL* check your ID and email against a master list.

They did that for 500 days of summer in vancouver.

I'm not sure exactly but I think you should print it out just in case. Never know how strict the people are who are checking for the codes!

There are at least 5 other sponsors handing out Passes to this movie so the theatre is already "overbooked".

When using an emailed pass, the first person who presents the ticket number is checked off the list at the theatre. Anyone else showing up with the same ticket number is denied entrance.

As long as you get there early to exchange your pass for tickets you will see the movie.
