Just came across this on the Sport Chek website. Sounds like a steal to me.

https://www.sportchek.ca/sportchek/do/asAdvertised?dispatch=style&styleId=56309

Mainly Sakic and Iginla curves available!

I wonder if it's that price in-store too? Would they match the website pricing?

Considering that sportchek doesn't sell on line, I'm going with a yes on this one.

I'll go check out the Eaton Center location at lunch.

Any idea if this is a low/mid/high end stick?

Initial googles seem to point that it's pretty low end.

At $39 for a Synergy, who cares?

What's the flex on this? Also, is it really tall?

I bought 3 (the other 2 are for teammates). There's a promo where you spend over $99.99 on hockey equipment, then you save $20 on any item over the $99.99.

By the small print of the sale, 3 sticks does not qualify for the $20 off but they asked for manager approval and I got it.

Regular price on the sticks is $70.

i had alot of ill fitting equipment so i checked out the sale and hot some really good equipment.

all sale items, i got reebok chestpads, mission elbow pads, easton s5 gloves, and the synergy for ~120 tax in. Pretty good deal. All items i bought were still cheaper than the cheapest pads they had, by a considerable amount.

Plenty of Sakic curves at the Chinook location in Calgary -- near the front of the store.
I saw one Iginla right-handed that was in the hockey section (with the rest of stick section).

National Sports deals don't seem to measure up to Sport Chek unless you're a junior (all their best highlighted prices seem to be for junior gear).

Anyone see it different?

Sport Chek offers $20 off for $99 spent on hockey gear ("before tax") which is a nice plus, BUT their system charges you the sales tax on the $20, reducing the value to $17.xx

This is not what their flyer promises and also runs afoul of the tax rules. The $20 is a store discount which is not taxable.

Make sure they credit you the $2.60 tax (ON) on the $20 credit :)
