thank you for your guy's information.

I quoted some stores in GVR and price range between $160-200, but I think what quality of film they use is the point, not the price.

Does anyone know what brand of film is OK and common in the market. What I quoted from them are SunGuard, SolarGuard........

Any input will be appreciated.

I went with these guys, exceptional work:

http://www.richmonddetail.com/Contact.page

However, the guy i did it with specifically just sub contracts frmo richmond detail, and i just call him directly when I need something done. His name is Peter, and he's a one man show, just using a garage space at richmond detail.

When I did it as a group of 3 cars, I got all 7 windows done on my IS300 for $160 cash. Comes with lifetime warranty, and he uses high quality solarguard tint.

I also sent my father's and brother's cars to him, he charged them the same price, I think even cheaper since they only did 5 windows.

Than after someone broke into my car through the small triangle glass, he retinted that small glass for free.

Anyways, I don't have his cell number on me, but I can look it up when I get home if you want. Just tell him the guy with the white IS300 sent you, and he'll know who you're talking about

Also, my father's car is a red rouge as well :)

Could you PM me the number if you have it. Thanks.
I much rather go with somebody who's been recommended even if it costs a little bit more then taking my chances with somebody on Craigslist. With the string of hot weather I bet the window tinting places are pretty busy right about now.

Here's the info on his card:

Peter Gawat
Strictly Auto Tint
#105 - 13340 Smallwood Pl.
Richmond, BC
604.805.0087

Last time when I was there getting my tint replaced on my broken in window, he was tinting a sweet dark grey IS-F with black interior leather and white leather trim, and he let me watch for a bit as we chatted.

Of course, I wasn't really paying much attention to the conversation as my eyes were busy :) Drool....

What tint is he using? That's the important question...

I ended up not getting it done since an emergency came up and I havent had the time to setup another appointment. Also I saw a youtube video on how to install tints and it looks very easy. if I get some time I think I will try installing one myself first.
