The sky's gonna fall...you should buy right now. (1)
Or not. (2)
(1) somebody needs to make their July quota. Help them out! :)
inventory levels are low enough that manufacturers can ease up on the incentives. The economy is improving, etc.
(2) 2009 inventory levels are not low enough, 2010s are coming. Sales are not up enough, etc.
Seriously, I don't have any idea. It could go either way, and I think it will, depending on what model you are looking at. I doubt the incentives will really improve, since they haven't really the past few months. But, hey, what do I know anyway? Ask Dennis Desrosiers (http://www.desrosiers.ca/), he might have some better ideas.

My predictions for Chrysler, I think it'll mostly be the same for August. Vehicles like the Jeep Patriots, Compass and Dodge Calibers, incentives for them have been improving, I've noticed.
The trends had been vehicles like the 09 Grand Caravan and Town and Country had been getting worse and worse with each passing month. Plus with the shortages of Mini-vans as it is, even once the 10's arrived on the lots, there probably won't be much 09's left anyways. Many of the 09 Mini-vans that have arrived on my lot this month and ones that are coming in next month in August, half of them are already sold before they make it to the dealer.
As someone else said with the economy starting to turn around, people having more faith in their jobs and what not, I think people will be buying anyways.
As for Chrysler,
1) According to this article: JD Powers had rated Chrysler as the most improved Automaker.
http://www.allpar.com/news/index.php/2009/07/dodge-most-improved-brand-in-jd-power-survey/
2) So far 1.5 Billion dollars of Government Loans had so far been repaid.

3) Plus with people seeing that Chrysler is not going to disappeared and with the merger with FIAT completed, I think traffic will continued to steadily increased as it has been this month.
I hope Chrysler will continued to put out aggressive Incentives like they've had to keep the traffic momentum going and I'm going to be on top of it to share the deals with everyone.:)

I think that interest rates for many companies (such as Hyundai) will continue to rise. Cash incentives will remain approximately the same on popular models. '09's might have some extra incentive to sell them off before the 10's.
Overall though I think incentives will be less appealing except for special cases where they're trying to clear out a car.
I think the big changes will come Sept.
