Hi,
I am looking to buy a garden hose and nozzle for my house. So I decided to go to Lowes today since it was on my way home from work, and I came away very disturbed...
I noticed most of the hoses and nozzles had warnings on them stating they contained "toxic chemicals," "lead," and "carcinogens" known to the state of California.
The tags on the nozzles even said users should "wash their hands after using"! WTF is up with that!? Wash my hands after watering the grass!?
I did see one "eco" hose that was lead free and approved by California to be safe for use for drinking from. However, it was only available in 50 foot lengths though, and I would prefer a 25 foot length.
How sad that a garden hose needs to be approved to be safe to drink from...
Anyways, does anybody know of any stores or brands to look out for in the GTA that I could get a hose and nozzle that won't poison me or the environment.
Thanks.
