Mad Men: S2 Blu-ray $22.99 Best Buy Canada (in store)

This was a surprise. I went to get my new Daughtry CD and walked out with that and Mad Men: Season 2 on Blu-ray. The deal isn't advertised on Best Buy's website but was clearly marked in store on the shelves.

This is an awesome deal considering everywhere else is $40+ for the Blu-ray set. Heck the dvd set is $36.99

Strange, i dont understand how they have not received stock yet when it was supposed to come out yesterday. I hope this is not a pricing error and something they have corrected already :(

i sort of got the impression that since they didn't have stock of it yet, they were just using the web interface. i wasn't sure that the lazy person on the phone first actually looked and just gave his thoughts instead of checking, but i called back and talked to somebody else and it was the same (no stock, 39.99 price listed in the system).

I have not done one myself so not sure. Does copy and paste work? I just went to the BB at Bay and Dundas, was told same story. S2 is OOS and the price on the system is $39.99. I just didn't bother, i assume its the same clerk that has been fielding all the calls today.

There was no advertisement for this price on their flyer and nothing online when they were promoting it so i would assume this was a pricing error and fixed. It seems that way now considering how everyone is reporting the pricing to be back at retail price. Oh well... if i can't get it at that price or get a raincheck, i will wait till i can PM it with somewhere else :)

The receipt might help, but if no one knows if it was a one day thing, or no one's been successful at getting it for 22 today, then i might not bother making the drive.

My nearest BB is a 20 minute drive and I didn't make it there today, based on the lack of success with this thread I doubt I'll bother now :(

At BB Heartland, the price labels on the shelf clearly stated that the Blu version was $22.99 but it was sold out. After a bit of effort, I managed to get a CSR at the CS desk to give me a raincheque. She mentioned that the $22.99 price was only for two days (yesterday and today) and the price in their system was $39.99.

You were able to PM it in futureshop? Lol.. now thats gotta be nice. I gotta try Bay and Dundas BB today...gonna rationalize it that they have to honor this price as they did not receive any stock and customers should not be disaffected :D we will see...

Edit: No copies at FS at Bay and Dundas. No copies at BB. Tried to get a raincheck for that price for Mad Men Season 2, was denied. CSR claimed they have seen several print-outs of the receipt already and will not PM it. Don't bother wasting your time, deal should be considered dead as BB system reads $39.99 anyways.
