It came out almost an year ago. Some useful info:
Expedited Parcel™ is a cost-effective, ground delivery service for documents and parcels within Canada. Choose Expedited Parcel and automatically get these features:
* Guaranteed delivery times*:
o Local – 1 day
o Regional – 1 up to 3 days
o National – 2 up to 7 days
Delivery to USA usually takes 6-12 business days.
Personally i wouldn't recommend shipping to USA because it took 18 days to deliver a graphics card that I sent from Toronto to New York.

Probably because it was stopped at customs for inspection/duty

You still have to find your own bubble wrap, packing foam etc., but I guess it's not bad if you need boxes for cheap and want to formalize/simplify your eBay shipping process. But the rates are standard I believe.

The Flat Rate Box can ONLY be used with Canada Post’s Expedited Parcel or Expedited Parcel-USA Flat Rate Box shipping labels. These labels must be created, purchased and printed through eBay’s Online Shipping tool.
I like the fact you can drop of the package in any street letter box rather than wait in line at the post office, though. Kind of like buying your movie tickets online. :-0

That's actually not a horrible price. I shipped a box yesterday and it cost me $15.50 after taxes. The flat rate box would have been more convenient because I wouldn't need to find/prep a used beat up box. It also saves time from having to get shipping quotes for different places.

Can I ship international with the flat rate box?
To the US only.
These boxes are great. The price to ship is pretty good and you don't have to measure / weight the boxes when buying the label online.

CLARIFY PLEASE:
So this includes the SHIPPING CHARGE? Or are you JUST paying for the box?
So I will be getting a $9.99 shipping service for only $1.95, including the box?
And yes, can I ship internationally with this?
Thanks in advance!

-you are just paying for the boxes
-shipping charge is additional depending if it's National, Regional or to USA
-you cannot ship international with this
Only ebay items and you have to print the label off ebay site.

I use them for shipping everything everywhere, just print out your own shipping labels and pay normal shipping costs. They're cheap boxes, that's what I use em for. The flat rate charges really aren't a great deal, as most of my shipping is to the U.S.

When is the last time you sent something like this? The $4.40 quote is correct, based on some changes a few months ago. You can't send it as lettermail anymore, even if it does fit through the slot since lettermail is only for paper. You might find a mail clerk that will still do it, but it is not the correct method anymore.

There is some misinformation here. There is a service called Light Packet and as long as the dvd/game/cd is under 100g, it still costs only $2.11 If it's between 100g and 200g it's $4.40. I send cd's/games to the US for $2.11 all the time. With that said, CANADA POST is a MAJOR rip off when compared to the prices the US gets....still will never understand why it's cheaper to ship some packages to the US, then to my next door neighbour in the GTA.

Yes, that is correct, under 100g it is $2.11. But with most games, DVDs, etc, it is very hard to come in under 100g, especially if you use bubblewrap. Without bubblewrap, and taking out inserts, manuals, etc you might make it.

People are confused as to the use of these boxes.
To be clear: You will not save money using these boxes. In fact, for most shipments using these boxes will result in a HIGHER cost than if you manually enter the LXWXH into the online shipping tool.
The whole point of these boxes, and the similar USPS boxes in the states, so that you as an eBay seller can know ahead of time exactly how much something will cost to ship. There is no screwing around online, no measuring things, no waiting for the purchaser to finalize their billing info.
Because of this, and this is the key, these boxes allow you to reliably list your item on eBay with "free shipping", by factoring in the pre-known shipping price to the reserve price. Statistics show that seller son eBay who offer free shipping, even if the cost is worked into the price, sell far more than people who do not offer free shipping.
In summary - if you don't sell on eBay (or else sell a lot on some other site), these boxes are of little to no use for you.

If you do this though, the condition the game will show up in will be less than stellar =(People are confused as to the use of these boxes.

The problem with this is that it's usually cheaper to not use the flat rate to ship anything unless your item that you're selling is max weight and size for that box.
