Hot? Samsung LN40B530 @ Visions for $930.99 after PM

Futureshop online shows this TV at $1119.99, but when you go into the stores, it's actually priced at $979.99. Visions matches the price and knocks 5% off of $979.99, making it $930.99. Picked one up yesterday.

Definitely a good price.

Bought it for $1,100 (taxes in) about 2 months ago. Probably cheaper now.

Really?? I went to Burnaby, BC - the one by Metrotown and went to Richmond, BC in Landsdowne Mall. Both were showing prices of $979.99. Weird.

I'm still waiting for the LN40B540 to drop down in price... it's been lodged up there since March.

I saw it when I was on my way to buy the LN40B530, I had a price match from another local store at 988$ + the "get 100 $ off purchases more then 1000$" that BestBuy had a couple of months ago (not exact numbers, I can't recall exactly).

It came down to like 900 $ with tax... but I still liked the LN40B540 ... so I walked away and has been waiting since then for that one. *sigh*

Your numbers don't seem to add up. Also I can't see lnb530 in bestbuy online catalogue.
975 is a good price. I was quoted similar from Golden Electronics. If anyone knows where to find it for this price in Toronto let me know. Of course 935 is a very good price and I wouldn't mind getting that.

Actually, I just noticed that this is very similar to the one I wanted ... minus the "ToC". You guys know any other main differences? alright..

i went to FS downtown toronto and indeed in-store price is $979.. no sticker so i had to ask Azim(?) .. he said that it was a 2-day promo and today was the last day..

so off to oakville sears i go (as i converted my petro points to sears dollars) and i requested a PM.. the sales guy called FS downtown toronto who said they had them in stock and at $949 .. sweeeet, even better :cheesygri

apparently they don't BEAT the price by 10% in store (online only) so he matched it.. no big deal b/c it would have been just an extra $20 bux and teh FS employee quoted $30 lower than what i got at lunch..

all in all, $949+10.07 environmental levy and taxes comes up to $1084.. considering that i had $360 in sears gift certs and $10 credit for opening the sears card, actual hit to the pocket was $715 or so..

looks like it was only certain stores... i went to Yonge/Eglinton - the price was 1119 and the guy would not match the 979 price.

It is now $949.99 at Future Shop in store (Toronto area). Online it still shows $1149.99. I think this is a good price - bought one.

Bought mine at 999$ 3 months ago from Best Buy. I love it !
