So has plasma gotten any better these days? It is the secondary tv but it is going to be in a sound proof media room.... problem is, the custom built entertainment center is 58" wide, 66" diagonal but only 32.8" high.

I am thinking a 47" with a low profile stand will fit, I want it for 360, blu-ray, hd tv etc...

is lcd still the best picture going? Sears has a nice sale on the new samsung right now, but lg has a nice new lcd also

any input appreciated

thx

Both Plasma and LCD are very good these days. My one concern is if you are going to put set in and enclosed cabinet heat might be an issue with plasma. The plasmas tend to run pretty hot. I'm a big fan of the LCD TV's right now, lots of new innovation coming to these sets. Any of the name brands should be good. Consumer reports in one of there lastest issuses rated the Samsungs very high.
