Years ago at another worklce I had free software that could "clip" pitures or extract from one document and then paste it into a word document as a picture

Unfortunately i have long forgotten the name of th eprogram.

Do anyone know a good version of this type of sofeware? I tcould be a trial version because I only need it periodically.

Any help is appreciated - thanks for responding.

If your document is in HTML, you could use Firefox's plugin Abduction! (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3408). Note: doesn't support Firefox 3.5 yet.

Vista has a built-in screenshot program. It sounds like you're talking about screenshots. It's actually one of the best features of Vista/7.

FastStone capture is great. Use it all the time.

+1

It's called the "Snipping Tool".

Can alt-print screen (to get a screenshot of the active window) followed by pasting into Word work for you? You can then crop the screenshot to the area you want.
