iPod Touch, Yahoo! push emails do not work

Been wrestling with a problem for the last week and haven't been able to find a solution. Apple advertises the ability to receive push emails through mobileme, ms echange and yahoo! (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2625). However, I've been unable to setup a yahoo account with push emails on my ipod touch. The option to set push on my yahoo account is not present, only fetch and manual.

I'm currently using an iPod Touch 1G, OS 3.0, jailbroken... are other ipod users experiencing this problem?

use IM+ for push from skyscape; am told it works and is multi platform..!!

I tried IM+ with push and it doesn't allow me to check my emails unless I missed something.
