Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a sweet, "high-end" hotel in the middle of downtown Toronto

Any suggestions? feedback on this one? http://www.pantageshotel.com/

Thanks!

you should also check out SOHO met, it's super nice but costly.

Pantages is nice - I've stayed there. Keep in mind that it's housed in the bottom floors of the Pantages condos, and I think the lobby is shared. So the lobby and rooms are a bit smaller, and doesn't feel as much as a grand hotel (but it's still pretty swanky). Though the rooms are not huge, they're really nicely designed and appointed. If you're staying more than a few days it's really handy to have the mini-kitchen in your room. It's located about a 5min walk from Younge & Dundas, so very central. Pantages is usually a bit cheaper than Germain or Soho I think, but you get good swank for the buck.

Hotel le Germain would be my top choice. Rooms are bigger, really cool windowed showers (if that's your thing ;) ), great restaurant, huge lobby. I prefer the location off of King too. Yonge street is overrated. Haven't stayed at the Soho Met but I think it's a bit less central (depends what you're planning to do in Toronto).

Thanks guys!

Great suggestions, but i'm a bit concerned regarding the SOHO and Germain..
are they well located for shopping, coffee shop?

I really liked the idea of Pantages because it seems just in face of the Eaton Center and should have plenty of people :)

As for the Pantages, you said it's located in a condo?! wich mean the rooms are in wich floor? Do you think we have a beautifull view of the city there?

Thanks again!

if you want a beautiful view of the city ..... i think the suites at 1 King West would be ideal ... you can request something high up in a corner room (45th floor or so) and the view and location (yonge and king) would be unbeatable
