Air Canada Reservations

Today I called Air Canada Reservations 4 times at 1-888-247-2262 and everytime all the agents were busy and I was put on hold for over 1/2 hr. each time. When I finally got through the agent puts me on hold and said that they will be right back and each time they hung up on me after another 15 min. wait. What's with that? It really amazes me how they treat their customers and that they are still in business.

Most folks I know book online now so they have less telephone agents than before. Perhaps they are very busy?
Also, certain times of the day will be much busier than others. Try different times.
And lastly, perhaps they did not know it was you on the line, after all, you are special. :cheesygri

Funny...I have called them 5 times in the past three days and have had an instant connection. I had a much longer wait for Singapore airlines.

What kind of reservation are you trying to make? Could it be done online?

fwiw, there are times that calling will provide you with options that are not listed on the website (this could be better connections, stop overs) etc. This is true with Air Canada, but even more so with Aeroplan.

According to the website there was no chance of getting our Toronto, Beijing, Singapore, Toronto Routing (on points). A simple call to Aeroplan and they had a direct routing and availability for three.
