Yeah... wish I'd gotten that. I went to FS and the sign said $275, except it was crossed out and in Handwriting it was like.. $340 or something.

The Acer Aspire One doesn't have Draft N, Bluetooth or a 6-cell battery but are those worth $75?

*shrug*

Actually, it had 6cell. 3cell was just a misprint.

The keyboard on the MSI is nicer to type on vs. the Acer in my opinion. I suggest trying them out in store before buying online.

Is the N wi-fi card natively supported in OSX? I know I had to swap out the G card when I hacked a Wind last year.

There are a several variations of the Wind and each uses a slightly different wifi card and requires a separate driver to get working in OSX. I have the Ralink branded "N Wifi card" and it requires the Ralink wireless configuration utility to get running but OSX is now running great.

Just wondering, how well does osx run on the msi wind?

Very well. I can surf, listen to music, watch YouTube, email with no slow down. I have a 3-4 tabs open and not multitasking too much though. I get 4 hours battery life with brightness down and wifi on. Streaming HD videos do not work well on it though.

I just came back from Walmart and they have a version of the MSI Wind without bluetooth and with a 3 cell battery that's only $328. Personally I'd rather pay a bit more and get the 6 cell one that Canada Computer sells.

Aside from the speed of the RAM I don't see any difference...then again I didn't read it too closely.

I just posted a Staples deal for this netbook, but with an additional 6 cell battery for $399. With the additional 6 cell battery, you are looking at a ~$80 value. But what this deal especially hot is that you can stack coupons. Just look my post for more details.

Have you tried playing some 480p or 720p mkv files? That's my main concern for buying or not buying this laptop. (i'd guess that hi-res video files won't play well)

Why would any one want to watch BR type movies on a 10" screen? It can watch AVI files fine. Keep the BR stuff on the big screen where they belong, IMO.

i'm not going to be watching any blurays. I'm just wondering if this can handle mkv files (with like, subtitles and whatnot). Otherwise, i'll just stick to avi with hard subtitles.

oh yeah, does this model allow two-finger scrolling?
