'Magic Number'-style Voip/Redial Services

There was a thread deleted in the hot deals forum regarding a 'magic number' redial service.. where you could call this one number, and get a dialtone to dial another number of your choice... effectively giving you unlimited calling on your cell phone if you have a plan that gives you unlimited calling to X numbers.

It also allowed people to call that number that was assigned to you and it would forward to your cell number.

I guess the post was deleted because the company did not seem legit, but does anyone know of any other providers offering similar service that are reliable?

There are one tread of discussion about the unlimited call back services, not sure if those are legit.
Looks to me, all the same, some kind of forwarding services.
