I just got a call from bell offering 3 months free internet (no contract + $3 modem rental) then 24.95/month after the 3 month period IF I choose to continue. 7mbps & 60gigs cap. Is this a scam? lol

I know that they have a 24.95 promo package going on but is it really no contract or are the sneaky telemarketers going to sign me up to a contract? Odd thing is, they kept asking for my bank account number. I already have my home phone through bell with preauthorized withdrawals from my account, why would they need my bank account number again? Felt kinda fishy so I told the guy to call back. What do you guys think?

Don't waste your time with Bell go with Teksavvy. With Bell you will eventually go through Bell bill hell. You have been warned.

This deal is similar to having relations with someone that has a incurable STD.
Seems great at first and then you realize you've made a HUGE mistake that you have to live with.

I got that call. The person could barely speak a word of english. She then asks if I speak Urdu? Told her no. So I ask where she calling from and she says Canada then Ontario. I asked if she is calling from the city of Ontario and she said yes. So it looks like its some outsource company from India calling for Bell

LoL Canada, Ontario.....it was the same for me. Very thick Indian accent and difficult to comprehend. Thanks for the warning everyone. Called rogers right after and told them about the offer I was given. They offered to give me 3 months free and 20% discount off my internet bill for 12 months. Thank you bell <3

My contract was ending with rogers mind you.

My brother is on this plan. Just call to confirm after the 2nd month. We had to make sure that it was on the plan. He's very happy with the service and has cancelled Rogers.

He was also impressed with the fact that Bell has upgraded the network and he's receiving full 7MBit instead of 1.2MB that we used to get back in the days (hence, the move to Rogers).
