View Full Version : Walmart Price Matching / What can I do with this giftcard?!

I am tech savvy, however I was recently given a 136$ gift card to WalMart.
I was thinking of getting a price match maybe with a PC monitor (does WalMart even have monitors, lol?)...but I wanted to know if Walmart Canada even pricematches (to an Online Store (NCIX, Newegg) or a Local Store like Futureshop)
Additionally, if that is not an options, what can I do with this gift card, could I sell it somewhere? This is really lame, haha.
Thanks!

Wal-Mart is pretty good on price matching, you just have to do the usual print out the ad, show them there is stock, etc. They won't give you lame excuses like Stooples or like the spawns of Satan's children that works at Future"Shiat"!

Why don't you go to a Walmart and walk around? Sure they sell a lot of crap but many items are the same you would see elsewhere, often for less.
You could sell the card to someone with some shopping savvy of course.
And, as above, you could easily get a pricematch. Best of all scenarios, so you were on the right track to begin with.

WM pricematches, but if you want to get a PC monitor might want to skip it. WM's selection is narrow and they usually carry the lowest-end stuff when it comes to electronics.
But I would be surprised if you can't find other stuff to buy from WM. A couple of games or movies. Food, hygenie products, car stuff ... surely you must have a need for other stuff too.
As a last resort, you can always sell the GC. You probably can't get the full value for it though.

Thanks for the help guys, I was more curious about their Price Matching policies then the actual computer stuff, I will be going to WalMart later today or tomorrow and check things out.
Walmart.com has all these great electronics, while Canadian Walmart doesn't have anything in that section that is good (however they ironically have my current monitor, I can always buy a 2nd one for Tri Monitors :cheesygri )
Thanks!

Walmart don't match online stores or print outs from web. You need to have a flayer for PM .
