Any tips?
Try to not die of heat stroke. :cheesygri
But seriously, it's normally extremely hot in southern Spain that time of the year. Spaniards normally take a rather long lunch starting at around 1:30 or 2pm. This will roughly be the hottest time of the day.
I'd suggest you do the same. You'll quickly become exhausted if you try to do too much in that heat.

I will be in Madrid Aug.25 & 26 then go to Granada, Seville, Malaga then back to Madrid Sept.2 and fly out Sept.3
Anyone there at the same time?
I know about the heat. It's not ideal but it's the only time I can have off. I'll start my day early, rest in the middle and go out again when it's less intense haha

you must visit El Alhambra in Granada..... August is a busy month so better book it before you go. You can buy tickets online and if you have the chance to go at night the view is amaizing.

Here's the first result if you google: bus madrid granada
:)
http://www.granadainfo.com/granadatravel.htm
It contains info on both the bus and the train.

Occassionally Ryanair has 1 euro specials. So, it looks like you found one.
Getting to the Madrid airport that early in the morning might be a bit expensive. And of course, you need to pay attention to all of Ryanair's fees. They are very strict with the size and weight for both of your checked and carry on luggage.
But, besides that it could be a quite good deal.

Personally, I liked Madrid better than Barca. More to see and do.

I have the option of having an 8 hour stopover in Madrid (well actually overnight, but there will be 8 daylight hours for sightseeing). Is it worth stopping over for such a short time, or should I just head straight home and go another time? I've read that it's mainly famous for its museums, which I'm not really interested in.

The nightlife there is incredible, among the best in the world. During the day, you could visit the Royal Palace and stroll along the main shopping streets in the city centre if you're not into museums.
