Any advise on which airlines can offer cheapest airfare inside Asia?
Planning on Toronto to Tokyo which isn't bad, but the one ways afterwards are brutal. Tokyo --> Hong Kong --> Bangkok --> Koh Samui --> Bali --> Toronto
Depending on price I may go Bali --> Tokyo --> Toronto if the round trip from Toronto to Tokyo is only slightly more expensive.
Edit: Heard about the Oneworld and Star Alliance All-Asia Passes but I've heard they're not always the cheapest
Cheap

I like AirAsia.com but they don't fly to Japan although they do fly everywhere else on your list. Sign up for their email alerts, they will email you sales for cheap or zero fares for flights months away, so if you know your plans or you can be flexible you can get some great deals.
You can use this http://www.airasiaplus.com/ to search for the best price over a 2 week period.
If you have some aeroplan miles (star alliance) you can get a flight from Japan to Thailand for 20,000 miles. They don't usually charge the same high fees over there that do here either.
Hong Kong and Tokyo are two transit points for Air Canada (star alliance) flights to other points in Asia including Bangkok. You could book Toronto-HKG(stop over)-BKK-Tokyo (stop over)- Toronto on AC and fly Thai or ANA for the BKK segments. Then you could book your own thing for Bali or anywhere else you want to go.

Thanks for the tip on Airasia!
The aeroplan fligts aren't cooperating so I'll have to call them later to see how much it will be for Tokyo to Hong Kong.
Now that I look at it, the Oneworld Asia Pass doesn't look too bad. Only problem is they don't actually tell you if any of those flights have connections or if they're non-stops.
Anyone actually used the Oneworld pass know?
