Looking for patio furniture in GTA. Where is a good place to shop? I want to avoid going too cheap like Cdn Tire, Walmart or Home Depot. Have budget of around $1000 for a 6 seats dinning set.
Also, any advice on material, or how to take care fo these outdoor furnitures? I wanna avoid rusting. I guess the entire set should be stored away in the winter? I'm having a shed setup, so may have the space (not sure about the table, but chairs and umbrella should be able to store).
Thanks!

Costco has some nice ones. Look online. Pricey though.

Not living in the GTA, I cannot advise you as to where but can address some of your other questions.
If you want to avoid rust, insist on seeing the word "aluminum" in printed product literature - too much of what comes in to these big box stores is vague on the metal. A good guide is that if it cannot be proven to be aluminum, it's likely steel.
Next, look for a powdercoated finish, not simply a painted finish. Even a baked paint finish won't be as durable as a true powdercoated finish.
We prefer sling chairs to those with cushions, as sling chairs dry out faster after a rain.
Finally, yes, you'll have to store the furniture over the winter - best that it be cleaned and dried when it's put away. Proper storage prevents water from getting in crevices (such as the grooves which hold the sling fabric) and forming potentially-damaging ice.
We bought our set about 6 years ago - it was made by an Ontario company (Heidt). We had researched and visited about a dozen medium and higher-end places and settled on a table and 6 chairs (with no umbrella) that was over $2500 all-in IIRC. Seemed pricey to us but there were many pricier sets out there. Today, it looks like the day we bought it. Nothing has broken, faded, split, chipped, rusted, or whatever.
OTOH, we bought a few big box lounge chairs 4 years ago and the rust started showing two years ago. Yes, they were far cheaper than the pieces in our set.
Still, guess which furniture we're happier with today. Sadly, I don't think Heidt is still in business.

Thanks. I will definitely not look for rust from steel sets. Now, anyone ever bought patio furnitures in GTA from places other than typical Cdn Tire, home depot? I looked at Costco, but don't like the style. Prices are around $1500 per set, not bad as they seem to be of good quality.

Sheridan Nurseries have 30% OFF their patio furniture right now. Good quality German made stuff.

Unless things have changed recently, Sheridan prices are usually a few thousand for a outdoor dining set, so 30% off is still going to be expensive if you're looking for something at around $1,500. At this price range, you might want to take a look at Dot Patio & Home. We bought a set there a few years ago for about $1,500. I think most of the stuff there are made in China which is why they can sell relatively cheaper.
As well, Google "patio furniture toronto" and you'll see lots of other choices in all price ranges.

We just purchased a table from DOT ($350) and are very pleased with it. The umbrella and base were another $85 and $59 respectively. We got stackable chairs from HD for $40 each (6 of them) - aluminum with a faux woven rattan. At a recent BBQ we had loads of compliments about the look and comfort of our set.

I presume you are referring to the Kettler brand of patio furniture?

Yes, I believe the brand is Kettler. The set I was looking at seemed pretty solid and attractive. Not sure how they stand against nature's elements though. Any experiences with them?

Which set did you have in mind?
I own a Degastone table with Carlo arm chairs and have not observed any signs of rust thus far.
Canadian Home and Leisure did have a closing out sale at their Pickering location that ended a couple weeks ago. The prices on their Kettler furniture was slashed by 60%.
I believe they may have some unsold Kettler sets that were moved to their Whitby location. Give them a shout if you are really interested.

I don't know the name but its the circular wrought iron mesh series that enables you to put an umbrella in the center of the table. I should have grabbed a catalogue while I was there. Thanks for the tip on Canadian Home.

Your best option is this set for $1000. Its been marked down about $500, and its some of the highest quality you will find. It will last for many years.
