Driving around Europe in August decided to buy a GPS system, one that I can use here also looking for some deals on a good system that I can load any maps on in the $200 range

All GPS systems do it.

You just have to buy the maps and install them as you need them.

really? I was doing a bit more research it showed only certain one's in each series can like the garmin nuvi 260 or 270 i think it was 330 660 and 770

well maybe I should ask what's the best deal on a GPS then?

I think what you may have read is that these models COME with both maps pre-loaded. That's why the sticker price is a bit higher. Garmin, has by far the best machines out there. You do need to purchase the Europe maps separately. If you want great out of the box, that's the way to go. If you want to fart around hacking the gps to do other stuff, that's a different story and you won't want a Garmin.

Check out "hot deals" as there are a few Garmins in there now.
