Unfortunately, it is not an attraction type of place. It is a dinner theater. You pay the going rate. The show alone is over 100 euros so the dinner is only 1/3 of the cost.
Personally, I have been to the Moulin Rouge and the Lido and would suggest you go to the Lido instead. It is in a nicer part of the city and it is cleaner and in my opinion, a way better show (cheaper too). The Moulin Rouge has Toulouse Latrec as it's calling card but that was many many years ago and it has not aged well.

We're travelling with Trafalagar last year, and our tour director only made the arrangement with Lido. We ended up book Moulin Rouge through the hotel service desk, and the fee is charged into my hotel bill. However, the price is less than Euro 90 just for the show with free drink. I'm told by our tour director that alot of hotel in Paris have arrangements with Lido & Moulin Rouge, and their prices are cheaper than you buy the tickets on sites. I won't waste the $ on dining inside, as there are a lot good restaurants. Check your hotel service desk if you want to see.

Moulin Rouge is located in the red light district of Paris called Pigalle. It's a bit dodgy in that area but at least it's beside Montmartre.
I personally have not been, but this was because all my local friends recommended I not go as it is over priced. Basically from what I hear it's just a tourist trap.

I did a Contiki trip and we did Nouvelle Eve which is a block south of Moulin Rouge. It's supposedly a smaller more intimate venue. The food was meh, but the show was great. The in between comedy, juggling, balancing acts were funny. We did have all you can drink wine but I would've still rather grab dinner somewhere else, though you would get to sit right beside the stage.

I went with my girlf in 2004 and we both agreed that it was the worst 80 euro each we had ever spent. The show we saw could best be described as an amatuer version of 'High School Musical' with breasts. Really shoddy production, poor choreography, and you're likely to see more attractive, semi-naked women and men on a beach on the south coast of France.
Save your money in my opinion. But if you must go, we went with a tour company that drove us around the sites of Paris at night (which was really quite interesting) and then took us to the show after the dinner had finished, so we saved about 50 euro I think.

The girls were all attractive at La Nouvelle Eve. One reminded us of Kristen Bell and there were a couple of brunette's that I was like gaga over. I guess the guys were attractive too (but obviously ghey).
We got a tour discount of $114 Euro instead of the $135 Euro. Fugg that's a lot of money. I would totally skip the dinner and do the show for $85 Euro.
