can anyone help her lol :|
shes 1 year older than me... here is what she said:

"Okay so I got accepted into arts&business in Waterloo and we're supposed to choose courses and send it to our academic advisor by july 9th, but I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO START. There's certain courses that I need to take before I get my bachelors and it's a whole list, but there's also this site where it tells me that I have to take one language, and one computer science course and two are already chosen for me. Now on the form I have to fill for my academic advisor there's 5 spaces, do i input the courses that are already chosen for me or leave those out?
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME, I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO START, where to start choosing, what to start choosing what to choose
and if there's upper year students that are in that program, please if there is a class you recommend or a teacher please...say so
I AM IN DESPERATE NEED OF HELP.

Oh another thing, when I applied for this program I said that I wanted to major in social development studies, but does that mean i choose courses that are relevant to that? because what if i'm not sure if i want to major in that?"

The courses she has to take are core courses the rest are electives. She would put both the core and elective courses on the registration form because 5 courses is a full time student. I don't know how the major works at your school. But for me I'm in Business my major is Finance and I get to choose my own restricted electives that will get me that major. I didn't have to declare it until third year though, and you said she already did? I would recommend you contact the registrars office for more information.

I was in the Arts&Biz program myself (transferring out).

For her 1A term, it's recommended that she take

CS 100
ECON 101
ARBUS 101 (AFM 123 cross-listed i believe)
Prospective Major Course (depending on what her major is)
and

Second Language Part 1.

As people mentioned there's a student forum. There's also undergrad calendar on UW's website.

Good luck!

I think that you inupt the courses that you want to take- the courses on the list, the courses chosen for you, the courses that are part of your major, electives that interest you
