forgot my ticket so now i'm wondering what i should do. The go transit ticket checker got my id which is my license but do they put down my license number or just my name and DoB. i'm thinknig of not paying the fine at all if they didn't put down my license number.
i ripped the fine ticket to pieces right after i got it so pics of it would be helpful thank you

You'll find out the consequences of not paying your fine the next time you try to renew a licence plate or a drivers license. They can find out just about anything about you now that they have your DL number. The province that is, not GO. They do not need your license plate number at all.
It's a provincial fine and is administered by the province, not GO.
One way or another, now or later, you will pay the fine. The only thing is that there will be interest charges added and possibly admin fees added if you decide to skip paying.
Save yourself a pile of trouble and expense by manning up and paying now.
Ripping it up was a supremely stupid thing to do.

Brilliant, just brilliant.
I hope you're not seriously thinking that you're going to get a pat on the back for doing something like this.
How are we suppose to show you an image of your fine ticket if you tore it up? If you are wondering if the ticket has a space allotted for a drivers license number, then you show know that it does - right in the middle of the big, yellow ticket (http://www.toronto.ca/pay-toronto-tickets/payyourticket.htm) (image shown under Provincial Offences.).
You're not the first to "forget" a ticket and board GO Transit, so I suspect that GO Transit ticket checkers has fine tuned their game and written everything they need to nail those that are given fines - including your drivers license number.
In addition to what king_george wrote:
What happens if I don't pay my fine in full?
Failure to pay your fine in full could result in a conviction being entered against you. Upon conviction you will be required to pay the set fine including court costs and the applicable victim fine surcharge by the due date. Failure to pay the fine imposed upon conviction by the due date will result in one or more of the following:
* Refusal by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation to issue validation of your vehicle permit
* Refusal by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation to issue a vehicle permit
* Driver's licence suspension
* An additional administrative fee
* The defaulted fine information is provided to a credit bureau.

Mind-boggling. Should we use our collective power to conjure up an image of the torn up ticket? Come on let's all concentrate because this newbie wants to see the ticket he tore up and probably threw on the floor of the train. Next time, pay your fare like everyone else.

In effect, GO and Government of Ontario are one in the same. So, yes, refusing to pay won't get one very far. It's a government issued fine, so it would be akin to ignoring a ticket for speed or the like.
Pay it. Learn a lesson. Move on. You can't ignore it and hope it goes away. Well, I guess you could ignore it and hope it goes away, but that would be fairly ineffectual.

GO doesn't exist anymore as a separate entity. We are now Metrolinx...as if that means anything to anyone. :lol:
But in all cases of legal action concerning fare violations, it's the province that handles collections.
