Cordless Lawn Trimmer

Has anyone seen a cordless lawn trimmer on sale, lately? Been looking for one, but no luck...

Trimmed the grass today with an electric trimmer. Took a while with the cord and all and am still looking for one of those new cordless trimmers.
Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hopefully the newer models have better batteries. I used to own a Black and Decker one and found it underpowered with horrible battery time.

I have a Jobmate 12V one that's crap. Same issues as Frankie.

If I ever need the 2nd one, it is charged and ready. I have no complaints.

A replacement battery for the Worx GT is around $60....ouch!

7 years ago i bought a Black and decker 10 v trimmer. it worked ok. but now the baterry won't hold a charge enough to do more than single strands of grass.

Just recently got the p2000 Ryobi cordless trimmer for their 18v One+ system. Works great on NiCad batteries. I don't have their new lithium ion system. Had to get the trimmer off ebay since it's discontinued.

I purchased the same one a month ago and so far, I love it. It's quite powerful (gear drive), has an auto-string device (ie. no more tapping to extend string) and the battery seems to last quite a while. Having the 2 batteries as mentioned is a huge bonus.

I'd buy another one.

Not going to be before long when you'll need to buy new rechargeables. Why didn't the manufacturer use nickel metal hydride instead of nicads? Mines had nicads are were just horrible.

I bought a Toro 8 in cordless on sale for less than $50 at the beginning of the year and it works great.

Battery has not run out during use and it trims just fine. I am not sure what you all are looking for but for a trimmer, this one is just right and cheap. I plug it in just before I start to cut my lawn and it lasts for me to trim the whole yard.
