Heya, I have someone who seems to be prank calling me. I have directly called them and they are hanging up now. Does anyone know how to add the number to a spam list? I would like them to feel the annoyance in return. It seems to be a cell phone.

Thanks.

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated.

(btw, this is a business line too, and I believe this person has prank called me a few weeks ago. I only got caller id a couple of days ago :/ )

Just a thought: it is possible that the one who is calling you has stolen the cellphone and is now using it for illicit/annoying means of entertainment.

That said...

I suggest the route of revenge by submitting the cellphone number to every joke/adult entertainment/survey text message service imaginable. If they have Bell or some other service, then they'll pay for having inconvenienced you with prank phone calls. This way, you'll literally make the caller "pay" for his/her actions.

That is quite true 45ED. Actually, a lot of businesses in my area (myself included) were targeted by a bad prank several months ago involving a supposedly stolen cell phone. I wonder if it is the same person now that I think about it? :/

In any case, I figure even if it were stolen, hopefully I will inconvenience them enough to stop calling me or ditch the cell. If they are stupid enough to use their own, then they will be annoyed as I am.

The cell (through reverse lookup) seems to be on the Bell network.

I guess I'm also just venting because I'm so annoyed by all the spam faxes I get all day and now this. lol...

Thanks for the advice, now just need to google up a few surveys, lol.

make a craigslist post for a free washer and dryer then tell them to call the number of the person prank calling you

lol, I like the craigslist idea!

Seriously though, if I get another call from this person, I am so going the craiglist "personals" route.

Thanks guys!

Watch "Hackers" if you want some ideas on what to write for a personal ad :D.
