So my house has no ac and its unbearably hot to sleep in at night
I have a computer in my room which i turn off before i sleep but it still heats up the room
any suggestions on fans that are any good? i saw a post on the vornado, but i dont think you can buy those in canada?
Those window fans with the 2 blades look really good, but my room has those tall windows that you rotate the handle at the bottom to open, so I dont think there are any window fans that windows that size
any fans on sale that could make my room alot better, or any other suggestions to cool it down?

An A/C unit.
Lots of ice or snow.

Buy a portable A/C unit. There are all sorts of brands and price points on the market. These are not window units and they are not very big. My in-laws, who don't need a central one and only need A/C occasionaly have one, they love it.
I am not going to recommended one, you need to decide what fits in your space. For one room, you just need a small one.

Install ceiling fan. Run it slow mode all day to move the air around. Close all windows, curtains to block out the sun and heat. Else portable A/C.

That's what I do.

I have one of these in my room and it works extremely well. The only con is that it's loud:

I have the same one. It's pretty good for a cheap little guy. 3 different speeds and tilt head.

i dont think i'll be able to install a ceiling fan.
that fan doesnt look bad but it'd be nice if it was quiet since i need to run it while i sleep

You can get a fan with a floor stand. If the fan is larger, it will probably be quieter even though it moves more air.

Build an air conditioner. This might sound crazy, but there's a really cheap and simple way to do it, and some college students do this in dorms to stay cold.
What you need to do is get a large bucket. The larger the bucket, the longer the room will stay cold. Fill your freezer with water, and when it gets frozen, place it in the bucket and fill the bucket completely with cold water.
Next, get some copper tubing, and wrap it around the front grill of any fan. After forming the coil, run one end into the bucket, and run the other end to a window, sink, etc. Siphon the end going out the window, and turn on the fan. The water will flow from the bucket to the window, but it will pass through the coil in front of the fan first. The resulting temperature of the coil will act as a compressor, and the fan will push the cold air into the room.
It's not incredibly efficient, but it will let you sleep at night. Not to mention, it's cheap. Really cheap.
Here's a guide, with pictures: http://www.gmilburn.ca/2005/06/15/geoffs-original-homemade-air-conditioner/
