I personally wouldn't go to a College for business. I would go to a College for something that requires hands-on training that a University wouldn't supply.

Examples include police training, fire training, computer networking, electrical engineering, etc.

Things like computer programming, business, accounting etc where a lot of theory can be useful are better taken at the University level, in my opinion.

Agreed.

I think that you really need to have a passion for retail if you are going do to that program.

In my opinion, retail positions are great for part-time work, but I'm not a fan of retail employment as a career. Generally, unless you get into head office and have some letters behind your name (CA, CMA, CGA, MBA etc), a career in retail will be full of long hours and little reward/pay.

Being a manager at the store level, you will deal with people who don't really care about the place, because they are part-time workers who do'nt plan on staying for the long-haul
