Maintence of ductless ac

We have a house we bought which has two a/c compressors outside for three ductless units inside. It is on a perch high up so it is hard to get at. This guy I met who fixes commercial units told me just to spray it with a hose every year to clean it. Are you supposed to get these units serviced/cleaned each year ?

No you don't need to have them serviced each year... just spray them down with water to remove any dirt/leaves/fluff that has stuck to the grills, especially on the back side against the wall.
