What do you guys think of this site? I have my own opinion on them and it is not positive for them, but what do you guys think?

"Life is Short. Have an affair" is their motto.

Well the only good thing that I can say is: Everyone that signs up on this site knows upfront what the score is, you don't have to worry about finding out later that your "date" is married.

I have my own view, my ex-wife cheated multiple times. I think its disgusting, if you don't want to be married then get a divorce. I mean its not like you are not up front during the wedding ceremony. Marriage is about two people forever. If you can't handle that then don't do it.

But what about their partners? One person cheating is risking the health of an unsuspecting partner who loves and trusts them.

I agree, as I said the one and only good thing about that site. Everything else is just wrong with it.

I think it's a ridiculous concept. Why not have the guts to properly end your relationship and start off in a new one.

Sites like these make cheating seem acceptable.

I don't think it makes it acceptable, it just makes it quick and easy... The american way.

This site isn't really making anyone cheat. it's just capitalizing on people who are going to cheat anyways. Of course, their motto isn't exactly moral....

I remember reading that Chicago has more infidelities each year than anywhere else on the planet.

Talk about useless information....

maybe the couple is in open relationship or w.e they call that. imo thats the stupidest idea ever, but what ever tickles their fancies.

cheating is stupid, but if u r already doing it, this site just helps u a lil.

as previously stated, this site does not tell u to cheat, it just gives u an ez option to do so.

ya, one might even say they are protecting people who are dating from inadvertently dating someone who is currently already involved but doesnt disclose it. If you go there, you pretty much know what you are getting into.

temptation is everywhere folks.

The website doesn't make anyone cheat. It's simply a place for people with common 'intentions' to meet up.

So...who is Ashley Madison anyway?
I guess you should never get into a commited relationship with someone named Ashley Madison :(

I heard the owner of the website on the radio the other day and the dj asked something along the lines of......People say that your site breaks people's marriages all the time because someone ends up cheating on their partner...what do you say to that?

He responded with something along the lines of....People also write to me every day thanking me for providing a service that has fixed their marriages by letting the one partner not satisfied with the existing sexual actions and finding someone else that can satisfy those needs.

The man is full of crap.

I saw an interview with him on ABC's 20/20, an episode dedicated to cheating and affairs. They asked him something about how he would react if his wife used the site, and he was obviously not pleased.

Basically he's promoting a website he has no experience with, as he's happily married with kids for years now.

Why not? There's nothing in the world that's sacred anymore.

Careful with this site folks. This site admits to having paid employees pretending to be members to bump up usage (and customer fees).

It's common among paid dating sites but I'll give AM credit enough that they actually listed it in their TOS.
