Why don't you just have your friends sell it? Or you do it yourself? Unless you're looking for a girl to wear skimpy clothing with bunny ears....

Sexy girls sell more tickets that's why.

At my stag I hired 3 hostesses, they stayed all night about 6 hours. They provided a poker table and blackjack table and I remember paying just over $700 after all was said and done. They were hot chicks but they wouldn't do any sexual favours, I tried many times.

I know a girl who does it, and if I remember correctly she charged like $300 for the night and she had a friend who did it with her so for the two of them it was $600. When I was asking her about it she said she more than covered that in selling raffle tickets there, selling like well over $1200 in tickets and what not

On the same topic, does anyone know of any good restaurants/venues that can be rented out for a Stag party. Many venues don't allow stag parties, and I've only found 2 venues so far.
I would prefer if they were located in the Markham/Richmond Hill areas.
Also, has anyone used the services of the stag party planning companies?

The way chicks gossip, why would you invite one of your female friends to a guy's stag? THINK MAN!

That's not the point of argument here. I was saying OP has no sexy girl friends because someone suggested asking his girl friends to sell tickets and OP responded by saying sexy girls sell more tickets.

They sell raffle tickets for prizes, sometimes its just like gift bags full of like golf stuff, movies, shaving kits w/e sometimes its electronics, maybe even a tv for a grand prize etc, money, you make it w/e you want.

So I assume the groom gets the cash then as a pre-wedding gift? Interesting.

So basically instead of doing the typical bachelor party of doing a bunch of outings. For example going to a golf course during the day, nice steak place for dinner, and finish the night at a strip club and/or clubbing. Rather you rent out a hall and get all the friends of the groom to by tickets for the event.

The goal is to raise money for the groom. So tickets to the event will cover renting the hall, food (usually provided by the hall). You typically will have things like poker tables and even get dealers to take in a rake. That money raked from the poker table should easily cover the cost of the dealers.

You should also get a bunch of prizes. These prizes will get raffled off. This is where the hostess comes in. They are very effective at getting a lot of ticket sales. You can also have of raffles like 50/50 draws or Joker Poker.

For entertainment, you can hire some strippers to do a show. Sometimes the strippers are also hostesses, but that's not as common.

Even though, this is a great way to raise money for the groom, it's not always successful. I think you need to know the type of crowd you are dealing with. I was a dealer for a friend who organized one of these. The guy getting married was really young and so where all his friends. I wouldn't say they were cheap, but rather broke. The poker tables ended up loosing money because everyone who played only wanted to play with $20 or $30. As a favor, I donated the money I was owed and my tips to the groom... but even with that, they were still short as only a few bought raffle tickets.

I've been to a few stags and never heard of that, but now that I'm getting married and will soon be on the other side of things, seems like a good idea. I know there are services where some charismatic ladies do a lot of the planning and hosting, seems like a good idea to me.
