Over at Lenovo, a pretty hot promotion that only ran for 1 day before is back! You can once again get 25% off on T, X, R, W, and Tablet ThinkPads when you spend $1500 or more (http://www.jdoqocy.com/click-749547-10570120) with coupon code CAP3DAYSALE. This time around, the offer is good until June 24.

This code makes a really big difference if you're looking at a ThinkPad with upgrades. If you're aiming lower, it's still good for 15% off.

Here are a few sample configurations with the big discount applied:

ThinkPad X200 Tablet with C2D SU9400, 12.1" WXGA, 2GB RAM (1 DIMM), 160GB HD, THinkpad b/g/n Wireless, 8-Cell Battery - $1439 (http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-749547-10559892?url=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.lenovo.com%2FSEUILi brary%2Fcontroller%2Fe%2Fwebca%2FLenovoPortal%2Fen _CA%2Fsystemconfig.runtime.workflow%3ALoadRuntimeT ree%3Fsb%3D%3A00000025%3A00001C66%3A%26smid%3D4BAF A1BE4DEF494A873BC185FC210ADF)
ThinkPad X200s with C2D SL9400, Vista Basic, 12.1" WXGA+, 2GB RAM (1 DIMM), 160GB HD, Bluetooth, 6-Cell battery - $1292.25 (http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-749547-10559892?url=http%3A%2F%2Fshop.lenovo.com%2FSEUILi brary%2Fcontroller%2Fe%2Fwebca%2FLenovoPortal%2Fen _CA%2Fsystemconfig.runtime.workflow%3ALoadRuntimeT ree%3Fsb%3D%3A00000025%3A00001BEE%3A%26smid%3DB646 F8A370D14FEEBB23037CB9B30E5D)

Shipping is free. Thanks to leonbnu for noticing this first!

Lenovo looks like they're really digging deep lately ... trying to grab some cash I guess.

I think the new module of thinkpad (like T400S) will be lanuched by the end of this month:razz:

I think T400s is available now from other countries, for example, Singapore

They might be trying to clear stuff out if there's going to be a free upgrade coupon for Windows 7 if you buy after June 26th.

The X210 Tablet was also leaked this month (http://news.softpedia.com/news/Leaked-ThinkPad-Roadmap-Shows-Calpella-in-Q1-2010-114644.shtml); apparently it's going to be Calpella (Core i7 series) based, with a "December/January" timeframe. New wifi card and and integrated video chipset seem to be inevitable, and it's built with SSD support in mind.

If we're lucky, maybe the screen-side directional pad will return too.

Won't be cheap, but worth thinking about.

I only got 10% using CAP3DAYSALE on my $599 configuration......

Edit - Only 10% on SL series - not as good as last time - but still good

what's the difference between the P, SL and SU chipsets?

These are not chipsets

I think P is "Performance"
SL is "Super sLow"
SU is "Super awfUl"

LOL, more seriously, I think P is the new letter for C2D chips, SL is just the line of laptops from Lenovo, SU is the low voltage C2D chips.

The code isn't working for the new T400s. I noticed they're only offering it in a stupid expensive SL processor config in Canada.

what's the difference between the P, SL and SU chipsets?

Those designate the processor's TDP (thermal design power) which is basically how much heat a processor outputs.

T series - 35 TDP
P series - 25 TDP
SL series (L = low voltage) - 17 TDP
SU series (U = ultra low voltage) - 10 TDP

I think its just a typo - if you actually click on the customize and buy button - the ATI 3470 is a $100 option - which is unselectable oddly enough...

Looks like they removed the T400 with discrete altogether now.
