Hey, I'm planning on buying the new iPhone but I would like to do some research before making the move from PocketPC. Where are some of the more popular iphone related forums? Thanks.

Try Macrumors. There is also Ilounge, but iPhone community there isn't as strong IIRC.

Thanks. That MacRumurs forum is huge! It'll take awhile for me to comb through that thread.

Anyhow, quick question, anyone use ms outlook exclusively?

I'm really curious about the syncing issues between outlook and iphone, if there are any. Care to share your experiences? :)

POP3/IMAP or Exchange? It makes a big difference, syncing with push is so much better.

Well I use outlook as a central email client to download email from my gmail, work, and hotmail via IMAP. It appears instantaneous, so I don't know if that counts as push email.

I don't use exchange servers, I'm more concerned about syncing calendar, tasks, notes, and contacts with outlook.

It's not exactly push but it does behave like that. Well it'll work but I tried it briefly and my friend has used it that way before and it doesn't always sync properly like it won't add contacts correctly and it also doesn't sync tasks or notes.

So I've been doing some reading and apparently iTunes doesn't sync Outlook notes or tasks without third party software.
