I see on the US dell Days of deals there is a 1.5tb Seagate for $100... which is about $115 Canadian. Seems like a good deal for those of us with a US address.

Not worth it when Compu2000 is $119 CAD.

1.5TB for less than U$100 (or ~ 114CAD)?

Oh well.. but then this is seagate, does it worth the risk of losing 1.5TB of data? Hummm

Do you have a link?
I can only find the 1.5tb Seagate for $142

I don't see it at this price either, are you talking about when the harddrive is on sale?

I would agree, probably not worth it. If you're looking for a 1.5TB drive, best would be to look at Western Digital. Seagate is not very reliable with their 1TB and up drives.

Still waiting to hear from you Jonavin.

I wouldn't mind a 1.5TB at $119...

+1

Since Seagate bought out Maxtor, the quality of Seagate's own drives has gone down. I would go with WD.

OK so Compu2000 sale is over, but this drive has been hovering around $119 to $129 the last couple of weeks on C2k, NXSource, CanadaComputers, NCIX and others. I guess if you live by the border it's worth it.

There's really not much you can do which makes this deal and others like it inappropriate to post in this forum.
