Everybody is saying wireless rate is much cheaper in States than Canada. But I just took a look at the T-mobile, AT&T, Verizon, seems the cheapest voice plan is US$29.99. Although it may include more service than the $20/$25 plan in Canada, but the bar is still higher.

Their contract is only 2 years.
I still don't see why people have problems with the 3 year commitment.

3 years is a long time, to get any sort of deal. And Rogers requires 3 year contract on anything. There's only 1 plan that does not require it.
Personally, I do not care for 3 year contract, since I re-new my contract every year because I get free/cheap phone with every renewal, but 3 years is awfully long time for average user who does not upgrade every year.

Remember when I first join Rogers, they had only 2 years contract as well. I didn't renew my contract because I think 2 years is too long. But now ...
By the way, they also changed the hup policy, that you have to wait at least 2 years to get a new smartphone for hup price.

And if it as if they think we would leave to another competitor. Last time I checked, ther was only 1 gsm and 2 cdma companies. Now much of a threat to leave...

I am highly doubt how much the globalive can bring down the rate. They are in canadian market, they won't give up any chance to rob your money.

i dont think so man
they might try to lower their rates to establish themselves into an already crowded market to get a base of customers.
