The latest Days of Deals promotion from Dell.ca is underway and this Dell.ca Days of Deals (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=CAqD7bLWUPI&offerid=170169.765380454&type=10&subid=0) will run from June 15 to June 24 25 (we've been informed that the promotion will run an extra day!). If you're not familiar with "Days of Deals", this is a special event where there are a selection of one day only deals each day. Popular items can sell out, so it's a good idea to check in early. Deals usually go live around 6:00AM eastern each morning.
Dell Days of Deals, Day 8 (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=CAqD7bLWUPI&offerid=170169.765380454&type=10&subid=0):
Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor w/4 USB Ports, Card Reader, Rotation, and VGA/DVI-D/S-Video/Composite/Component/HDMI/DisplayPort - $499.99 (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=CAqD7bLWUPI&offerid=170169.765380454&type=10&subid=0)
APC 450 Watt / 750 VA Back-UPS ES 750 Master Control - $69.99 (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=CAqD7bLWUPI&offerid=170169.765380454&type=10&subid=0), (compare prices (http://www.pricecanada.com/p.php/Apc-BACK-UPS-ES-10-OUTLET-750VA-BE750GCN-530505/))
VTECH LS6125-3 DECT 6.0 Digital Three Handset Answering System with Caller ID - $49.99 (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=CAqD7bLWUPI&offerid=170169.765380454&type=10&subid=0)
Sony MDRAS50G Active Style Headphones - $39.99 (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=CAqD7bLWUPI&offerid=170169.765380454&type=10&subid=0), (compare prices (http://www.pricecanada.com/p.php/Sonys-MDRAS50G-Active-Style-Headphones-MDRAS50G-534869/))
ViewSonic 22" VT2230 1080P LCD HDTV - $299.99 (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=CAqD7bLWUPI&offerid=170169.765380454&type=10&subid=0), (compare prices (http://www.pricecanada.com/p.php/Viewsonic-VT2230-22-LCD-HDTV-169-Full-VT2230-595527/))

Shipping is free for all items.
Some pretty good deals today. The Viewsonic 22" LCD TV has an ATSC and NTSC TV tuner built in, a good variety of ports, and full 1080P HD resolution. At $299.99 it's the lowest price we've ever seen it go for (http://www.pricecanada.com/p.php/Viewsonic-VT2230-22-LCD-HDTV-169-Full-VT2230-595527/price-history/).
The Seagate FreeAgent 1.5TB external hard drive is also worth another look. 1.5TB drives alone haven't gone lower than $120 so for $30 more you get free shipping and the external casing all setup and read to plug and play.
Finally, that's a pretty good price on the APC UPS. UPS deals seem to be more difficult to find these days. That might be the best budget UPS deal going right now.

I need a new UPS the battery of eaton's died, and battery alone costs more than UPS(eaton's). I was looking for a bigger unit, as these 750 units are not compatible with modern APF supplies according to APC website. Any surge would cause your comp to reboot, if connected to battery backup, while they still work fine only with surge side.

I've had mind-numbingly poor experiences with pretty much every HDD brand imaginable including Seagate, WD, Maxtor (now owned by WD), all except for Hitachi.
Anyway Seagate is pretty standard and average but their warranty coverage is generally pretty decent.

Support is kinda iffy. Sometimes it sees my Kingston 8GB card sometimes it doesn't... Sometimes if I leave it in there, after a while it can't sees it. The only reliable way is I use my camera as "USB card reader"...
Also, sometimes I do switch between VGA & DVI, and the printing on the button is too easy to rub off...
Display-wise, it is OK.... And I have yet to make use of the PIP features...

+1 The monitor from back then was much better. Webcam + mic vs card reader and 1"? Card readers can be found cheaper than a cheap webcam

But the Viewsonic 1080P 22" screen is sort of cool: a 22" 1080p with tuner etc. is a rare thing in the marketplace, and I have the Viewsonic 1680 x 1050 screen that is quite nice.

Wasn't the 2408WFP like $430 on another DoD two months ago..?
Yes. During the DOD in April it was $429. The one I received was an A02. It also came with VGA, DVI, and Display Port cables.
Lag is not a problem with the A02 for regular usage. It is noticeable if you really look for it though. I game casually and it does not bother me one bit. If I was some sort of FPS gaming pro, then maybe it would impact me, but otherwise.... no problems.
Apart from the lag, it is an absolutely gorgeous monitor. Puts my TN panel to shame and gives the S-IPS panel in my TV a run for its money for colour reproductoin and viewing angles. At first I was slightly put off by the anti-reflective coating as it seemed to make text ever so sligntly blured, but I quickly got used to this and now don't notice it at all.

What do you guys think of the Sony MDR-AS50G that's in today's Dell deal?
$40 seems a bit steep, but if they are worth it then I guess I'll take the plunge.
Ear buds tend to always fall out, and over the head style DJ headphones are to big hot and sweaty.

I could not have put it better myself. Got it last summer @ $499 as well - the thing is a beauty. I game fairly often and cannot notice any lag at all. Can confirm it came with VGA + DVI + Displayport cables.
Same here, puts my TN panel to shame. Get it, I guarantee you will not regret it... once calibrated, this is one oustanding monitor. You will find it hard to go back to TN's as well.

I hooked up my xbox 360 to mine using HDMI, it does not have any black bars. It just stretched the top and bottom slightly to fit the screen. Still looks awesome. (Some people who are used to the perfect 1080p aspect ratio might get annoyed by the stretching but you get used to it)

I hooked up my xbox 360 to mine using HDMI, it does not have any black bars. It just stretched the top and bottom slightly to fit the screen. Still looks awesome. (Some people who are used to the perfect 1080p aspect ratio might get annoyed by the stretching but you get used to it)
Is there a way to not have it stretched?

decent reviews on the vtech phone,
http://www.amazon.com/V-Tech-LS6125-3-Digital-Handset-Answering/product-reviews/B0012CP1XQ/ref=cm_cr_dp_all_helpful?ie=UTF8&coliid=&showViewpoints=1&colid=&sortBy=bySubmissionDateDescending
I'll skip it anyway.
I'm looking at getting it but the reviews seem to mention battery problems.

DO IT... You will not regret it.
$499 is still a good price for this awesome monitor.
Sure its expensive, but I firmly believe a monitor is the one thing you shouldn't skimp on.
Its the only thing you look at all the time, and your eyes will thank you in the long run.
And chances are, it will outlast your current computer system so you won't have to buy a monitor with your next computer purchase.
I purchased two of these 2408's for my dual-monitor set-up last January.
As for any issues. I have had none.
No lag, No dead pixels, etc. etc. Simply Perfect.
Fortunately, I was lucky enough to get them for $439.00ea.
I doubt that this price will come again soon, as our dollar is not as strong as it was back then.
Life is too short to wait for something you want.
Buy it, and enjoy it while you can.
And don't visit Dell's site after their 30-day price guarantee...
Just in case it does come down in price :cheesygri

iono i think thats a decent deal..i just bought a 1TB WD Caviar Black from NCIX a couple days ago for 97... found a decent case with esata for $50 but that still adds up for $150 for 1TB..while here u can get 1.5TB for $150
only problem is no esata on the drive which makes it a pass for me.
i'm looking at this and i have noooooo idea whether these are good deals.
i'd buy that monitor if i didn't already buy it from the DOD a few days ago. wish it was 299$ :P
any thoughts on the seagate?

Any comments on the Seagate FreeAgent?
I need a new external HDD and was thinking of getting this. Don't really have much experience with Seagate. Usually buy WD.
Thanks
For what it is worth there have been a large number of failures reported on bestbuy.com where it sells for US 169.99

Just PM'd these Sony headphones, came to $41.79 after tax (in Ontario).
Gonna hop on my mountain bike in a few mins and see how they work downhill. Unlike underwear, FS will accept full refund within 30 days. I thought there might hygienic issues involved.

not worth it. for a lot less, you can build your own PC desktop, minus that monitor.
the s2209w...compared to the sp2309w, is it any good? looks pretty cheap and i might get one for my sister.

sneakpeek of that newspaper ad,,, hmmm, interesting, if that is the deal for tomorrow on the s2209w, looks less likely to see the 2209wa for 180ish, still hoping though but with 2 days left after today, looking more and more like the sp2309w was the one to get this time around;)

People really need to stop suggesting to build your own, some of us don't have the time/knowledge to bother doing this.
4evil, if you are in no rush to get a new PC, then you should wait a bit for those windows 7 free upgrade things to come packaged =D

+1 on the build ur own comment, it's like u can do it for cheaper, but u don't charge for all the hours and o/s (win 7 upgrade soon).
if u can go build it cheaper for all of us, please do it, and sell it to everyone if u think it's that great. oh yeah, now u will take the labour hours into consideration once u do that and say, **** that.

You could have NCIX assemble you a system for an $50. No idea if it's still cheaper than the pre-built systems from Dell and such, but atleast you have a system more customized to your needs and it beats them.

take the builds of others then- http://www.hardforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=40
and then pay someone/a friend 50$ to assemble it, if you can't do it yourself.
you'll still save yourself more than 300$ in the end and have a quality rig that'll allow you to fully customize, including being able to replace your whole entire motherboard.
complain all you want but it's worth it to save yourself hundreds of dollars if you put a bit of effort.

Silly question, to purchase any of these deals, it is only ONLINE right ?
And I read on Dell's return policy, only will accept returns if something is wrong with it? Or never opened ?
And I have to pay for shipping?

My guess is, yes it's online.
I have bought some items from dell and have returned them , cause I wasn't really like the product. Items were opened but I'm able to return.
not big deal
