For those of you who may be making a trip into the USA or might have connections, Sears.com is selling Tivoli Audio's iSongbook for a steal at $49.99 US.

This little unit can cost you as much as $479.95 CDN at Bay Bloor Radio here in Toronto.

It's a nice little iPod docking unit with a small footprint, a nice little remote, AM/FM tuner, alarm feature, auxiliary input, built-in battery charger (optional 6AA batteries for portability), and a "weather resistant" design (although I would hesitate taking it out in the rain). The speakers are magnetically shielded and the right speaker separates via retractable cord for better stereo effect.
At $479.95, it's very over-priced. You are likely paying more for design, rather than performance since the sound isn't on par with a Bose SoundDock or an Altec Lansing inMotion. I purchased one of these last week at a swap meet for $90 CDN and got excited over THAT price. But make no mistake, it does sound good, just don't expect room-filling sound unless you have a very small room. It's ideal for a desktop, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, dorm, or camping. And with the auxiliary input, it might make a satisfying computer speaker.
