I've been using this for a while, got it around the same price last year. It's fairly good quality, and sturdy material. My LN46A650 hasn't fallen off my wall yet, despite having to be pretty creative since I only had one metal stud to work with.

That is the exact TV, I am looking to mount. good to know it will hold it. Altough I have to admit, I get a bit worried when I hear comments like, it hasnt fallen off yet....like you are expecting it to....??

yeah i think so.
tilt in my opinion is useless... your vertical viewing angle isn't likely to change unless you had double decker seating in your living room and only one deck would be used at any given time.
it's probably useful for people who want to mount it on their fireplace which is a big ergonomic mistake and want to have it permanently tilted downwards.
to me swivel makes way more practical sense as you may want to point the TV towards the dining room for instance when you're eating. Not like that's a good habit either but whatever.

Really, whether a TV falls off the wall or not has much less to do with the mount you use compared with how you install it and what you have to secure it to behind your wall.

Please explain the big ergonomic mistake?????
I've had my TV mounted above my fireplace for close to 4 years now,and wouldn't have it any other way.
Then again,my floorplan may be unique,as the fireplace is in a corner with the wall at a 45 degree angle.
I get nothing but compliments on my setup, and people have even commented how much easier it is on their neck/eyes having it higher up than it would be on a traditional floor stand.(my TV sits 50" off of the ground).

i think he's talking about how it usually has to be mounted higher to clear the actual fireplace. I have mine mounted above the fireplace too as it was the only practical place in my townhouse. Aesthetically it looks great as part of the room decor, but if i had the option i would have preferred it closer to eye level.
good deal for a mount you can buy locally. works out cheaper than shipping one in from monoprice.

Man, I need a deal on one for a 52"... :(
You could mount your 52" using this wall mount if the mounting holes are compatible. They specify 30-50 as a generality for mounting hole dimensions. Weight-wise you're going to be safe. Flat panel wall mounts, for the most part from what I've seen support a heck of a lot more weight than most flat panels weigh. For example, 52" LCD sets are going to be about 35kg tops without the stand, and that's a conservative estimate. This wall mount supports 59kg. I'm using a 26" wall mount that supports up to 130lbs for my 40" LCD. And I mounted it and hoisted the TV up all on my own. TVs are much lighter than people think.
As long as you fasten it well to your wall and the mount matches the dimensions of the holes on the back of the TV, you're going to be good to go.

Angle Adjustable Wall Bracket for LCD Plasma. This Flat Wall Mount supports most 37" to 63" flat panel screen and plasma TVs up to 165 lb weight.
It gets a 95 % approval from 172 users. I am thinking of ordering it with a bunch of cables I need.
There is also a whole bunch of other options:

The difference in size recommendations is also glass weight, some (mainly plasmas as the are heavier) will slowly tilt down as the tilt cannot hold the weight, but the bracket is rated at much higher for holding capacity.
I also get similar brackets for 23.99, so there are good prices out there!

36.30 $CAN taxed n shipped.
They don't have the tilting one, only the fixed and some swiveling ones (http://www.eforcity.com/wallmount.html)

Okay, now that I have had time to think about it and research it with the help of the other options listed by various members here, I think the FS one will go back and I'll get one that swivels for more option in set up.
I am curious to know if anyone has used one of these before... (whether it be from Monoprice or not)

It is a big ergonomic mistake because mounting TVs high like your setup is meant for airports and bistros. I cannot see how it is possible that having a TV high up can be good. Do you look UP to see your computer monitor? No. Do you look UP to see a movie screen? No (that's why people pile in the BACK of the theater where it's higher up and then to avoid the front where they have to look up). Do you like playing Rockband or any other video game for that matter with your neck AND eyes looking UP? No. Your eyes tend to look down. The most comfortable spot is to level with your eyes to about the top of the screen. Have you tried just making your eyes just look up and just holding them there? It's a very easy exercise really. Just sit in front of your computer, then try looking UP vs. looking straight on - looking up just requires more effort. Meh I can go and on.
What's really funny is that 95% of houses have TVs setup really poorly like yours. It's an absolute ergonomic nightmare. Maybe it's good for when you're STANDING UP and making stuff in the kitchen. Maybe it's good for when you're sitting at your dining table and eating dinner. But I am sorry, your TV is an ergonomic disaster. I honestly don't see how craning your neck and forcing your eyes up can be comfortable.
Just about everyone that sees my setup are surprised at how low it is mounted. They don't even THINK about why a TV should be mounted so low. They just see pictures from brochures of TVs mounted 5 feet off the floor and figure that must be the norm. They never stepped back to think differently. That is until they sit on the couch, lean back, put up their feet, and realize, "hey, this is really comfortable!".
My 2 cents.
BTW, as for the monoprice one, you'll be paying close to $50 after you factor in exchange and shipping. So I would just get this one.

Good thing BB allowed me to get it at $43 last night.... I printed out the web price yesterday morning, and pricematch in the evening (6PM)... according to the cashier the price already went up, but the manager allowed it anyway... (I wasn't aware as I didn't check the web price before going to PM) somebody probably PMed earlier or the actual cost of the wall mount is probably less and BB/FS has huge markups...

Agreed. I helped my buddy setup his wallmount before, kept telling him it was too high but he wouldn't listen. Hey, it's his house so I didn't argue. One week later we were back on it lowering it to what I originally suggested.... lol...

My brother in law has that first link from monoprice. Pretty solid and excellent for the price. But make sure you factor in the extra charges. I believe you get dinged for handling fee and excise tax when it's over CAD$20.00 when you receive your order.

Your livingroom, in the spot where you're standing while staring at the wall you want your TV on (that means, do it yourself, it's easy).

Its easy.. just go to home depot and get some proper wall anchors (If you need help, ask someone for the type of anchor you need for a wall mount in a wall)
put the mount on the wall, Mark where you need to make holes, drill, preferably into a wall stud (Might need to buy a studfinder $10)
Pop in the wall anchors, drill the mount to the wall...and that is pretty much the hard part. From there you just screw the brackets onto the back of the TV, lift it onto the track and adjust.
Takes like 20 minutes.
But if you really want someone else doing it, look up "General Contractor" in the yellow pages.

I don't think I would ever mount a TV using a dry wall anchor. Always mount it to a stud. This stand is quite flexible in terms of mounting locations. As a bonus, this Init mount does come with a tiny stud sensor and level indicator. Took all of maybe 15 minutes to mount it to my wall with 2 people (it's a lot easier when one person can hold the mount in place and another one drills holes/puts in screws).

So went to FS Stoney Creek this afternoon to pick up a unit. Had planned to go yesterday but as the web said the sale ends June 25th wasn't in a hurry. Found the unit they had 3 shelves of them at least a dozen. Price showed $49.99 on sale no originbal price. Took it to cashier and she rings it up and says that will be $339. I showed her my print out for the web page and off she goes to the manager. Comes back and says they were looking into it but the sale was over.I said sale still on here as the price on the shelf is $49.99. She tells the manager and he goes to check comes back and says he has pulled the price tag. I get it for $49.99 though.
