No, it will not relock a 2G.

3.0 on the 2G sucks!

Friggin' firmware goes through the battery power faster then eHeath goes through our tax money!

2G Iphone ONLY
Cons:
- No MMS
- No Compass (obvious b/c no A-GPS built-in)
- Lagy/Slow when loading applications or just going through the menu.
- Heating problems (I put mine next to the AC right now)
- Drains the battery like crazy

Pros:
Cut & Paste Works

I upgraded from 2.0.1 to 3.0 and i see a big difference when browsing through apps, its much faster. The battery life is the same as before.

do you have the 2G or the 3G? I am only speaking from 2g version.

I am downgrading back, b/c this thing is sucking more then I need for the day.

I got the 2G

I could be seeing the big improvements as my firmware was pretty old, as I never really got around to upgrading it.

I have noticed that the phone is heating up very quickly. I guess i will stick with 3.0 unless it gives me problems.

Compass is separate hardware, has nothing to do with aGPS.

I haven't had any problems with battery life, its on bar with 2.2.1. Its also much faster when launching SMS, and eMaill. So far so good.
