So when i first got my iPhone 3G a year ago i went to Rogers when they opened and because EVERYONE was trying to get this phone the systems where so slow i was there all day, and half the next day. Basically their systems bottle necked. Well im sad to say its happening again but im not putting myself through that again. I was planning on upgrading to a 32GB iPhone 3GS from the iPhone 16GB 3G but they told me it will take 1-2 hours to get through the line they have. You would think Rogers would be expecting this but i guess not and that is PATHETIC. Sorry but i had to say it somewhere

either you wait for hours in line to be served as the first customer, or wait for an hour to be served.. that's how it should be during the first week due to large number of customers.. it sounds normal to me.

Rogers is not going to throw resources upgrading everything for one day just so your happy.
You want the phone so bad, suck it up and wait.

I went this morning and got the new iPhone(around 9am MST). Waited in line for 5 or 10 minutes. Was only one person in front of me and they weren't doing anything iphone related. It took about 20 minutes between answering the standard questions, and the salesperson having to reenter some data because the web application was timing him out.
When I left, there was only one person in line behind me waiting for a phone. This was with a third party reseller though, In Calgary.
The salesguy mentioned that there alot of people earlier though, i got the second last black 32GB in stock.

Yes, it is pathetic trying to get the new iPhone in the first week.
