No hype whatsoever for this movie... didnt even realize that it was coming out THIS weekend! I have a feeling that's a bad sign... but it HAS to be better than the first Punisher movie with Dulph Lundgren :D

The problem here is that punisher isn't that cool/interesting of a character to go see.

Didn't he have a kool black skull mask in the comics? Cuz he doesn't in the movies? Or at least the skull costume he is wearin the movie looks bad.

don't think it'll be a great movie.. but might still watch it though cuz Travolta's in it (HE'S THE BEST!!! - especially bad role's) B)

Punisher not cool?!?!?! The Punisher rocks! It's marvel's version of batman.

I'm still gonna watch it but i think the reason for almost no hype is because 1) it's lacking star power, 2) opening the same day as Kill Bill v2, 3) Spiderman 2 coming out in the summer.

Yea...he's allright.....but I guess lacking an actual "super" power kinda brings it down....

he has a gun....not much hype to it....but still i like punisher.

Well I went and seen the PUNISHER yesterday afternoon!!

I have to say it was good!!! Lots of action!!! Not exactly the same as the comic book story but good none the less!!!!

I dont feel it was a waste of my 2 hours or my $10.

That's actually the reason I thought the movie won't be too good.

It has been overshadowed by Kill Bill 2. I can't picture many people choosing this over Kill Bill 2. They are both R rated, violent and catering to the same demographic. They probably could have picked a better weekend to open this movie.

It has gotten mixed reviews. I myself am getting tired of comic book movies. I won't be seeing this, Spider Man 2, or anything of that nature for a while.

Have you guys seen Boondock Saints (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0144117/)? It seems to be the same sort of idea. In this movie 2 guys go around killing mafia guys... its an AWESOME movie!!

Movie was crap...I actually thought the bad version starring the swedish guy that Rocky fought (he played the 'evil' russian boxer in Rocky IV) was even a better movie! :lol:

The Punisher was the best movie I ever saw. I plan on buying the DVD, and I'm not one of those guys who goes and buys DVD's either (or even sees a movie twice for that matter).

If that's true then it must be real bad cause the version with Dolph Lundgren wasn't good.

Let me say this about the movie (without giving anything away):

The movie is an extremely poor comic book brought to the big screen adaptation. No fan of the comic book series will enjoy this movie.

As a standalone movie, it might be considered a good mindless popcorn action movie.

just finished the movie on dvd... wow.. pretty dark but well worth the 2 hours. i'm even tempted to rent the 1989 version with Dulph now :)
