$30 /6GB Data Plan Help needed..

First of all i would like to thank all the guys who are visiting this thread to help me out....

Ok my problem is that somehow i managed to get the $30 /6GB Data Plan from rogers today for like 20 dollars....

but i don't have an iphone and i never knew that the plans are different...
i'm a blackberry user and have blackberry bold and BB8700.

and i tried to use the data plan with my bold....but its not working at all...

now i searched at some places ...and ended up with that its not going to work with BIS ...unless Rogers rep can add some type of code...which they are not going to do( chances of doing is like 5%)...

so just need some help from you guys...may be some tips.....what should i do...
what should i tell rogers rep. as i'm calling 2morrow.

u can call rogers customer service right now.. they are open
but i would think that it starts next builling cycle?

when i was getting the plan she asked me that would i like to start it from next billing cycle or right away...and i chose right away...

its working but as i said ....its only for smartphones not BIS.

Call the data department (1.866.931.data), ask them to add the following SOC code: APN3CON. Once it is added, BIS will be activated on your data account.

Do not ask them to modify anything else. Call back if the rep refuses, this is perfectly fine to do, Rogers does not get the usual commission they usually do from the BIS plans but they allow this code to be added.

i called data department, regular customer service and the retensions....but everyone said ...its impossible to do ...and they are not doing it..

so i switched to blackberry BIS Plans...she said i can have the 1 GB for the same price which is 20 dollars for me...and i guess 1Gb is more than enough for me ....because Last time i had Data plan for a month and apparently i only used 33 MB.

So i switched to BIS...

they were lying..with rogers u have to repeat the same thing again and again.myself and many others have this soc code added on our plans and they work fine on blackberry and any other phone.u gave up tooo easily man..

Correct, if you pushed for it you could have gotten BIS. You have to be persistent.
