+1. I am the guy who would just want the iTouch for the games and stuff.

I am not surprised Rogers has everything priced so high.

799+tax = ~900 bucks.

Bout the price I paid for a white 16gb iphone last year on RFD at launch.
Ouch :(

What about hardware upgrades? Is Rogers going to be like ATT and have two separate pricing for new customers and upgrading customers?

Well, I called Fido numerous times and was told that they knew nothing about the "upgrading prices" and that really, the only way that upgrading customers could get one was to buy it at the "no contract price" of 699/799 respectively.

I'm pretty sure as we get closer to this Friday, we'll have a good idea of whats going on.

yea, I get a "you can upgrade"... but I am only 9 months into my original one.... I hope something works out, cause... as much as I like it, I am not spending $800...

You can probably expect the pricing will match AT&T, as I understand it Apple sets the pricing.

Yeah it's expensive but shouldn't be a surprise. No-contract phones are always expensive because it is not subsidized by the monthly fees.
