my iPhone 3G is jailbroken..
she also hacked into a motorola razr... does anyone know how she's doing this?? i don't feel good about my phone now.. she was going through people's phones at the Microsoft, AMD and HP training today at D&Bs

+1. If you got some sort of a video then use that to show us. Too hard to believe that it can be hacked in such a way.
HOWEVER, anything is possible.

It's called Bluetooth pairing and default keys. Most cell phones have the keys set to 000000, so you can easily pair with anything that leaves bluetooth on by default, and then sync it.
Loads of people do it, in order to listen in on other people's calls.

She probably connected via Bluetooth and gave permission to the BlackBerry for full rights. I did this before with different phones and my friend was able to see all my files and even download them.

If she connected to his iPhone through bluetooth, if she toggled it on/off... wouldn't she lose the connection?
I'm sorry OP, but I find this hard to believe.

If you use VNC, you need a client and a server. There are two pieces to this software.
I doubt this really happened.

its impossible to have windows mobile run on a blackberry. I can back my statement with a few blackberry engineers that i work closely with. The other part is totally doable i seen it happen all the time. There were free apps that allowed nokia phones to do this not to long ago...
Something tells me her boobs was the center of the distraction.

Care to list the names of any of these apps you use? It'd be interesting to try this out with a spare phone.

Surprised to see the replies to this.
What most likely happened is that you were on the same Wifi network.
Then she simply SSH'ed into your jailbroken iPhone and used the default root password to gain entry.
Then from the terminal window toggled all this stuff.
Could be easily avoided by changing the root access password.

Exactly. Everyone else in this thread is wrong, but I like how definitively they declare bluetooth the culprit.
Lots of people jailbreak their iphones then SSH into them just by followign instructions on a website, never bothering to change the password. The default iphone password (at least a few months ago) was Alpine, and most phones can be SERIOUSLY messed with if you share a wifi connection with someone who wants to mess with you.

I have no idea about the WinMo on the BB, but I guess you could.
Anyway, about the whole hacking thing. Bluetooth, Wifi, SSH, e-mail attachments, and a host of other ways to get in. BB's have a lot of bug software written for them so it's easy. Bluetooth pairing and SSH'ing into jailbroken iPhones are the easiest way. What I try to do is get in over BT, enable wifi if the phone has it and then get it to connect the AP I've created. File transfers go a lot faster that way and the connection is generally better.
I do this a lot on the subway when I get bored, lol. It's annoying when people leave just as you connect.
