Any idea when the 2010 models of Rav4 and Venza will be out? Any guess about the changes?

LOL, i guess by the time you order & receive a Venza, it could be considered a 2010 model :)

I hear there were a shortage of venza's a few months ago in GTA. Let's hope for 2010 they lower the prices of the hybrids.

I went into a dealer looking at the Venza a few weeks ago and if I bought one that day, it would take until August for me to get it

We looked at the Venza but preferred the RAV4. This was a couple of weeks ago, and the dealer said depending on the Venza model there could be a 3-4 month wait. They had two on the lot and both were pre-sold.
The next model year of RAV4 usually shows up in late August or early September. May be slightly earlier this year because of Canadian production - less distance to travel. 2010 Venza could be a bit later than that.
With the Venza being brand new, and the RAV4 having been freshened with new features and styling for 2009, don't expect anything more than minor equipment changes for 2010, if that. No indication yet as to whether we'll get the Sport with no spare tire for 2010. An all-new RAV4 is expected for 2011.

LOL most likely some underhanded Toyota trick to create the belief there was actually some kind of shortage to boost interest/sales. I wouldn't put it beyond them especially when they have that access-to-a-Toyota-pricing BS in some areas. Like it's some kind of privilege to drive a borefest yawnmobile Toyota
Funny that the thread mentions the Venza and RAV4... The former being the most pointless Toyota and the latter being the most exciting.

I went to a Toyota dealer in Calgary last week. The sales person told me there is a 6-7 months waiting list for Venza!! He told me even their 2 demos have been sold! I had a feeling that he was going too far in creating an impression for Venza and so I decided not to go to that dealership in the future.
About Rav vs. Venza: I was all set to buy a Rav although I really did not like the back door and the spare tire. When I saw Venza, I decided to give it a try as it seems to have all the utility of Rav in a nicer and more comfortable design. Plus, I am hesitant (in terms of resale value) to buy a car (i.e., Rav) that will probably go through a complete overhaul in a year.
